Girls at Templeton Elementary School will join Girls Inc. volunteers for lunch and recess again this fall. The girls will take part in programs that address competitive behaviors among girls. Through role playing and discussions the girls will learn to address conflict with their peers in healthy ways. During other program cycles, girls will take part in STEM-focused activities led by Girls Inc. volunteers. Older girls will be able to take part in a “Be Bold” program that builds negotiation, assertiveness, and self-defense skills.
Programs during the school day at Templeton are free for any girl who would like to attend. Check with the administrative office for more information.
